What is Washington doing with "foreign aid"?  E-mail

"Foreign aid is not only unconstitutional, but also exceedingly unwise. It creates the worst kind of entangling alliances that President Washington warned about. It doesn’t buy us any real allies, but instead encourages false friendships, dependency, and a sense of entitlement among the recipients. It also causes resentment among nations that receive none, or less than they feel they deserve. Above all, however, it is simply unconscionable to tax American citizens and send their money overseas. We have enough problems of our own here at home, and those dollars should be returned to taxpayers or spent on legitimate constitutional activities."  Ron Paul

Our government has not listened to the wise advice of our Founding Fathers and dismisses that of Rep. Ron Paul. Taxpayers must deal with the consequences.

Primary recipients of U.S. foreign aid include:

  • Israel        $3,105,000,000
  • Egypt       $1,866,000,000
  • Jordan     $1,022,000,000
  • Kenya      $702,000,000
  • Mexico     $673,000,000
  • Ethiopia    $575,000,000

We need to bring our troops home and close most of our bases around the world. Blow back is a serious issue.

Back to the non-interventionist foreign policy advocated by the Founding Fathers. It is cheaper to trade for our resources than to try to take them.

Yet another sign of Washington' unwillingness to address our country's needs. I agree with the blow back principle as well.
